Description
While Qianjiazhai’s biggest claim to fame is its 2700+ year old tea tree, along with many other 1000-year trees that exist within the heavily forested area, this tea has nothing to do with that. Instead, this small tree tea is a great daily drinker at an unbeatable price.
Don’t be fooled though – this tea packs a punch, with some additional bitterness funkiness compared to our other offerings in this price range. A nice huigan (returning sweetness) follows, making this an excellent tea to start your day, or to get through the afternoon.

First session with the tea:
Very clean dragon ball. A lot of stems / not many full leaves.
Starts smoky and quite astringent (dries the tongue). Good evolution throughout the session and goes towards good minerality and light bitterness with a fruity smoky background.
Decent returning sweetness and good body feel (classic fog for me).
Nothing groundbreaking but very solid for the price.

It has a good amount of flavor, doesn’t lasts too long but doesnt vanish too soon. A bit sweet, a bit floral, some mineral. Very solid option for a daily puer.
