Description
After a several year hiatus, we’re happy to bring back a tea that arguable represents “old Yiwu” flavour.
Made from a mixed picking of old tree and qiaomu Lao Jie material, this tea has a great lasting fragrance, pleasant huigan, and pleasing price to match. It’s an excellent choice for those looking to step up their puer game and add a higher quality tea to their regular rotation.
$0.28/gram
Region: Yiwu Laojie (in other words: as Yiwu as it gets), Yiwu, Xishuangbanna Prefecture
Picking Period: March 22-28
Many of our samples for spring 2024 are in dragon ball form. While these balls will perform the same as the cake, they can be slightly trickier to brew. Here’s how we do it:

Alexandra Verville-Paris –
The typical herbaceous taste of sheng ‘at the farm’. Back to earth and to childhood (comforting)
//Smell : Library, farm animal humidity, old leather, perfumed hay, clean clothes
//Texture: Hot area on the tip of the tongue, tingling on the back teeth, thick and creamy texture (sticky?)
//Taste : Herbaceous, Cream of mushroom soup, vegetable broth, hay, mineral, astringent, sesame, asparagus,
//Body sensation: Resonating heartbeat (but not quicker), contentment and appreciation of the present moment, warm face
