Description
For many, raw puer can be one of the more difficult teas to approach, so in selecting a representative from this series, going with an Yiwu tea was a straightforward choice.
Yiwu teas are known for their more approachable nature, focusing on fragrance, sweetness, soft soup texture, and with less bitterness and astringency. This tea exemplifies just that, with an enjoyable fragrance, slight honey sweetness, and approachable character.
For gongfu brewing, we recommend brewing this tea similar to a dragon ball or other single serving format, either extending the rinse to 30 seconds or so, or performing a second rinse to help open the leaves a bit. This biscuit also performs well when western brewing, for which we advise rinsing for 10 seconds, then brewing for up to 30 seconds in a 350-400ml vessel, then adding 20-30 seconds (or to taste) per brew after that.
Each of the convenient single-serving biscuits contains 7g (+/-1 gram of tea).

Makes you thirsty for ice-cold water. Easy to drink. Good introduction to sheng puers
//Smell: Small flowers, clean clothes, honeyed water, humid hay, summer day heavy heat,
//Texture: Heavy and thick, makes the saliva disappear, oily, smooth
//Taste: Honeyed water, dry hay, clean clothes, sweet, plain dough with comestible flowers, mineral
//Body sensation: Heartbeat sensation in the neck, light sensitivity, silence, energy

Great tea in a convenient package. Very fragrant and gentle tea with minimal bitterness. Mouthfeel was silky smooth with great body and thickness. I also found it very forgiving in terms of steeping times. Soup looks like honey water with crisp clarity.

The moment I opened up this little package I was met with vibrant floral honey and bright citrus on the nose. Wet leaf brings those aromas back, but with this almost funky apple juice nose that’s nice. The palate brings light florals, rich honey, dry hay, dried apricots, and tropical citrus. The texture is nice and creamy, the bitterness is low, the sweetness is there, and overall it’s very balanced and approachable. This is a lovely, easy drinking sheng puer that I think is a great introduction to this category while also offering plenty of comfort for frequent drinkers.

Very sweet and gentle sheng, not very long lasting but still a lot of flavor adn energy to offer.
