Description
Joining our family of infused teas, this Yunnan green tea has a strong sticky rice fragrance, lent to it by the aptly named sticky rice leaf (糯米叶).
The base tea has a full flavour and excellent fragrance on its own, but the sticky rice fragrance takes it to another level, adding a creamier quality and almost glutinous texture (although that might just be our minds playing a trick).
This tea is extremely flexible in terms of brewing and serves well for casual drinking or taking on hikes.

If you like the taste of sticky rice, this one is for you. I was only familiar with Nuomixiang in combination with either black or shou puer, so I was curious to give it a go.
Brewed it hot in a gaiwan and in an large pot over ice. Hot was sweet with the green tea subtly coming though, but the sticky rice taste is very much on the foreground, middle ground and background. Less subtle than combined with shou, but it fits remarkably well with the green tea.
Over ice this one is phenomenal. Crisp and refreshing, perfect for summer.
