Description
While previous versions of this tea used Wuye varetial material, this year’s tea comes from Yashixiang/Duck Shit xuepian (winter leaf). The comparatively reduced bitterness of the Yashixiang, along with a thicker, more buttery texture, made it an easy choice in terms of staying loyal to this tea’s character.
Most importantly, this tea maintains the same salted caramel flavour that always makes Double Scoop one of our favourite Dancong of the year.
Please note that the 250g size does not include a tin.
$0.39-0.47
We recommend brewing this tea using Chaozhou style gongfu brewing. Here’s how it’s done:
For something different, you can also try cold brewing:

Sweet, fuity, thick. Lovely experience.

Everything that you want from a fall/winter Ya Shi Xiang harvest – think perfume, ripe fruit, makes me think of a strawberry milkshake.

Double Scoop Floral bomb sweet treat. Floral aroma with a grounding green umami note. Reminds me of a floral matcha ice cream. Rising in the throat, juicy mouth feel.

Great flavours. Taste lighter than other dancongs
//Smell: Honey sweetness, floral, vanilla, caramel, sorbet, light fruit punch, a bit salted
//Texture: Buttery, medium to thick texture, soft and smooth, cheeks coating
//Taste: Honey & water floral concoction, mineral, wet rock, perfumed milkshake, fruit sugar
//Body sensation: Heat, smiling cheeks, eyes awake, increased heartbeat

Loved it. Really recommend give it a full session. Is very flavorfoul, very sweet, has a lot of power, but for me the best thing is the aftertaste. It just remains there.

Floral and sweet, but I don’t get any of the caramel or milkshake others mentioned.
