Description

Made by the same studio as our Chameleon wood fired teapots, these teapots also undergo a several-day wood firing process, however, being made from a darker Jingdezhen rough clay and without glaze, they achieve a naturally reflective black appearance.

At a glance, the teapots in this series all look quite similar, but subtle differences quickly become noticeable, thanks to the wood firing process. Small portions of grey and matte texture hide in the details, revealing themselves as you delve into the dark side.

Please note that this teapot is unglazed inside, therefore you may with to dedicate it to one type of tea. However, our experience with Jingdezhen rough clay is that it is not particularly porous, therefore it’s also perfectly fine to use it with various tea types. The choice is yours!
