Description

Made in Jingdezhen, this series of teaware features original engraved designs that showcase the artist’s love of various mythic creatures. The technique used to create these pieces is fairly labour intensive, as it requires first covering the piece in ink, then engraving away until the only the intended design remains.

The clay for these pieces also come from a bigger studio that has their own formula. While the appearance and hand-feel is fairly rough, it surprisingly doesn’t stain at all, even when using it with shou, black or other dark teas, as we tested ourselves.
