Description

This teapot is fully made using unglazed, Jianshui zitao purple clay. Although it’s called purple clay, zitao is actually considered a 5 colour clay, consisting of purple, red, white, yellow and green/cyan.

As this is made from unglazed clay, we recommend and designating it for a specific type of tea. We recommend experimenting with various clay-tea pairings to determine what works for you, but our opinion is that Jianshui clay is best suited for puer (sheng and shou). Jianshui clay can also can perform well with oolong, white and some black teas. More delicate teas like green and yellow tea are not recommended.
