Description

While the pieces in this series might look familiar at a glance, the modern twist and intention is what drew us in further. Made by a newly discovered (to us) studio in Jingdezhen, these gaiwans incorporate qinghua style painting and classic designs, but with a unique floral pattern from one gaiwan to another.

The use of specifically placed iron spot in the clay intentionally serves the design, and is a creative way to incorporate harness what are ordinarily random features.

Being a sancai/3 piece gaiwan set, the tray is included.
