Over our many years of travelling to Jingdezhen and curating ceramics, we’ve noticed a pattern of discovery and development with new artists and studios. Within that process of development, there is always an exciting and interesting phase where the artist or studio is fleshing out their style; experimenting with techniques, but in a more sophisticated way. This is the point that this studio has reached, which has made it fun to work with them.

This series employs classic qinghua style (blue painted) designs, but with a modern twist. After all, we can never refuse a tasteful combination of classic/modern, nor east/west. In the case of these cups, they were fired normally, then finished with a second wood firing to produce a vintage effect.

These cups hold approximately 40-50ml of liquid each. Please make a selection below to confirm the size.
