Made by the same studio as our popular teacups of the same name, these mugs are handpainted using qinghua (blue painting) style. This style is traditionally applied on more refined pieces for a clean aesthetic, however, these achieve a more rustic look by employing qinghua that is painted over a rough clay base.

With a total capacity of approximately 450ml, these are probably our least suitable cups for gongfu brewing. However, they’re excellent for western brewing, combining multiple infusion and cold brewing. No need to limit yourself to tea either, we have personally used these for coffee, breakfast/cereal, ice cream, soup, and just about anything else that you could use a large mug or bowl for.

These mugs are available in 4 designs, including deer, cat, bunny and crane. As these are handpainted, there may be slight variations in detail from one to another. Any mugs that have a more significant design difference have been labeled – please make a selection below to confirm the appearance.
